Tap Pause ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Tap Pause mobile application.
Information we collect
Tap Pause is designed with privacy in mind:
- Data on your device: Your stats (urges resisted, streaks, money and time saved), journal entries, reasons, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers.
- No account required: You can use the app without creating an account. No email or personal identity is required for core features.
- Premium subscriptions: If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Google Play. We do not store your payment details. We may receive limited information from Google (e.g. that a subscription is active) to unlock Premium features.
How we use information
- To provide and improve the app (pauses, tracking, motivation content).
- To grant Premium access when you have an active subscription.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data retention
Data stored on your device remains there until you uninstall the app or clear app data. We do not retain copies of your local data on our servers.
Children
Tap Pause is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
